Tony Eduardo De Lima e Silva Hoerhann is a 5th-degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) under the esteemed Master Rilion Gracie. Beginning his journey at the age of 12 with the legendary Gracie family, Tony has over two decades of experience training with some of the most iconic figures in martial arts, including Renzo Gracie, Ralph Gracie, and Royce Gracie. His impressive competitive accolades include being an ADCC Brazil Trials Champion, Asia Open Champion, 7x South Brazilian Champion, American National BJJ Champion, South American Champion, and a 2x Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Championship Bronze Medalist.

Tony hails from a family with a rich history of Law Enforcement and Military service, spanning over 20 generations. With more than 20 years of expertise in both armed and unarmed combat, he is also a skilled competitor in shooting sports. As a certified instructor in pistols, shotguns, and rifles, Tony has taught advanced weapons handling and unarmed combat techniques to elite military units, special police forces, and law enforcement agencies across the globe.

In collaboration with UFC Hall of Fame inductee Royce Gracie, Tony co-developed a weapons retention and self-defense program in Brazil. This specialized curriculum emphasizes practical self-defense skills and the seamless integration of unarmed combat techniques.

Tony’s dedication to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has taken him around the world, sharing his expertise in countless countries. His teaching philosophy is rooted in the intelligent application of leverage, strategic thinking, and cultivating a warrior mindset. With a lifetime committed to training and instruction, Tony continues to inspire and empower his students to achieve excellence both on and off the mat.
